ENVIRONMENTAL AND ECONOMIC ASPECTS OF THE TRANSFORMATION OF THE ENERGY SUPPLY OF THE HOUSING SECTOR OF UKRAINE

Abstract

The article is devoted to the transformation of the energy supply of the housing sector and the solution to the problems of the destruction of the energy infrastructure in the conditions of war. The total damage to the Ukrainian economy and infrastructure from military operations was analyzed. Roads, residential buildings and enterprise assets were the most affected. Total losses make up 75% of all losses. There was an increase in the rate of inflation in Ukraine, which was largely caused by the destruction of logistics chains and critical infrastructure. There was an increase in the prices of food and non-food products and energy resources. As a result, all this led to an increase in inflation in July 2022 compared to July 2021 by 2.17 times. Energy losses were also investigated, and electricity consumption was analyzed. The total losses of the energy complex of Ukraine amount to UAH 523 billion. To date, about 40% of power plants have been destroyed, and the entire country is in emergency power cuts. Therefore, we proposed an alternative provision for the energy dependence of the residential sector. Namely, the introduction of innovative energy-efficient technologies for the use of natural resources for the energy supply of the residential sector. Currently, one of the best methods of solving this problem can be the energy modernization of housing and the use of alternative energy sources. Reconstruction and modernization of outdated building facades through the use of various energy-efficient materials makes it possible to create energy-independent residential buildings, and the introduction of solar batteries of the necessary capacity, vertical wind turbines, special wind generators, solar collectors in combination with ground heat pumps, allows maintaining the temperature inside the house at a comfortable level for a person temperature. The solar collector maintains the appropriate temperature in the hot water supply system. In our opinion, it is thanks to the implementation of such projects that it is possible to get through the winter period relatively easily and reorient Ukraine's economy from consumption to energy production.
